Martagon Lily Bulbs for sale for fall delivery! Martagon lilies are cold climate lilies that do best with a long cold winter resting period. Martagons are more expensive because they are slower growing and they may even sulk for a year before even emerging from the ground. They need to establish a good root system before sending up a bloom stalk and prefer alkaline soil. I do not recommend trying to grow in zones higher than Zone 6. They are shade tolerant but also can grow in full sun. They make an excellent companion to the hosta garden as they bloom earlier than most other lilies. At maturity they should get 5 feet or taller. USA shipping only!
Martagons do best when planted in the fall. Spring planted martagons do not bloom the first year.
Shipping is $8.00 for up to 15 bulbs (add $2.00 when shipping is west of the Mississippi River).
Shipping should be the first two weeks of October. ALL VARIETIES ARE LIMITED. ONCE THEY WERE SOLD OUT, I MAY NOT BE ABLE TO GET ANYMORE.
You may start on order now and I will be posting more as the summer goes along. Payment is due August 15.
