Voles like it, too! They dug into my Royal Sunset last winter. I have mine partitioned off with patio blocks, but they dug in from the top under deep snow. Now down to only two stems from a group of about fifteen or twenty. Guess I'll have to screen it over next year. They multiply fast, though.
