Wow! We are kindred spirits! That's funny about " chicken fat". The original daylilies are lovely in their simplicity and clean lines!

I have a bunch of asiatic lilies about to pop. I wonder what they'll end up looking like. I think there's something kind of " Frankensteinian" about hybridization......

In addition to the " frills" there are the spots and stripes and other embellishments that people like to cram onto a flower. Does this sort of thing ever confuse natural pollinators?

Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend. Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.
