We went to SE Alaska last fall and I picked a few rose hips from a Sitka Rose Hedge. I planted the seeds right away when we returned home and now they are sprouting. I was there too late for the blooms, but the rose hips were large and plump and bright red. The hips were so attractive that I would grow the rose just for the hips! I am looking forward to seeing the blooms as well, probably won't get them this year on the small plants, but when it happens I'll try to post a photo. Alaska was such an awesome experience, we look forward to going back ✿◠‿◠)
