I always keep mine in the fridge until they germinate. If I'm going to start them later, I just keep them in there dry. When it's time to germinate, I add the water and peroxide, and half of a makeup removal pad that is damp, and put them back in the fridge. Works really well for me! I keep them in the bottom crisper drawer, but I am not sure if it matters where you keep them.

I've had more than one person tell me that they will not germinate without some warmth. Not true, since they do just fine in the fridge!
