Lol .. feel free to send that rain here! I was thinking that the Confederate Rose actually might do better in a pot until next Spring as it's still quite small. It will do just nicely in a pot in a sunny window over the winter. Even though it's got good roots already, it wouldn't hurt to let it get more until you plop it in the ground. I'd also mix in some of your native soil so it's used to it by the time you plant it out.
My Rain Lily's always stay in pots and they don't mind one bit!
