Honey berry ~ 2 different varieties ~ birds LOVE them, I love them also when I can get beat the birds to them.
Black cap ~ It is a native, wild berry here in Oregon. I have transplanted some close to the house. My dog and my family love them.
Huckle berry ~ They are also native and grow wild here. I have gathered some and planted them close to the house. They are doing well.
Thimble berry ~ grow wild here. Again, I have transplanted some near the house. They are doing well.
Goji Berry ~ This poor little plant came to me from a rough road traveled. It struggled to hang on to life for 2 years until one day my very helpful husband decided to help me by weed eating the small orchard next to the house and despite the 3 ORANGE FLAGS surrounding the struggling little Goji, he weed ate down to the ground. I am still recovering from the shock and agony of loosing that one, and haven’t replaced it yet.
Stella Cherries~ This is a superb cherry tree. It is indeed a battle to gain a harvest before the birds get them all.
Hardy kiwi~ the gophers love these so I had to dig them up and bury a hardware cloth basket to plant them in. A friend has an old vine and got me hooked on these delectable little fruits. The flowers are beautiful.
Hollywood and Howard Miracle plums ~ FABULOUS
Apricots ~ I love these and have tried twice with poor luck. I am in the process of researching my problems. There are a few orchards, commercial and backyard, around me, so, I believe it is something I am doing incorrectly. I will try again. I actually have allowed my first attempt of apricot to re sprout. I know it will be a sub par variety, but I will let it grow and see what I get.
Nectarines ~ My favorite
They are a little harder to keep happy here in the Pacific Northwest. At least in my yard because I do not spray or use any chemicals, so the leaf curl, bugs, and birds wreck havock. I did get a nice harvest last season. So, I will keep working at creating a symbiotic relationship.
Pluots (Plumcots)~ New tree for me. It is loaded with fruit this year and I am excited to try them.
Blueberries~ Again, the gophers LOVE these. I lost one plant to the gophers so I dug them up and placed hardware cloth in a basket shape and replanted the bushes. They are doing fairly well. I think it will take another year for them to recover from the gopher attack. We have many blueberry fields nearby, in case I need to start over
Red Flame Table grapes ~ These are wonderful. I was a little intimidated about growing grapes, but these are doing great and give the back deck some needed shade in the summer.
Interlaken Green Table grapes ~ These are the most prolific producer of lovely grapes for fresh eating, or for juicing. Wonderful addition to my edible landscape
Marion Berry~ These were bred right here in the town I work in. They are a thornless blackberry with a rich deep flavor. The berries are about 2 inches long.
Wild Himalayan Blackberries ~ My husband cusses these plants because they grow all too well around here, but, I must say, they are my favorite berry of all! DELICIOUS
