My goal is flower power and curb appeal. I am thinking of a floribunda or small shrub, but welcome all suggestions. I have had the most success with own root roses. This flower bed has sun (for the roses) mixed sun and shade provided by a couple of trees. I am featuring contrasting leaf colors and textures with bright orange and dark purple to black plants as accents. I live in a wooded area. Not many neighbors garden. Splashes of bright orange will be a welcome surprise along the woody lane.

People may remember that I had a "tiger garden" of hostas, tiger lilies and other juglone resistant plants in my old place. Those who know me may be surprised by this request. I love soft, warm pastel roses planted in cottage settings. I am planting my beloved surviving roses, bulbs and perennials in my back yard.
