Elevation appx 2.5 - 3 feet on a base of concrete blocks near the house; the area to be watered is appx 8 inches lower.
May I just add here a negative comment about Systern Rain Barrel by Norseman plastics.
Bought two of them at two different times, two different houses, both barrels cracked in exactly the same place when only 1/3 full.
Design flaw? Faulty mold? I don't know, I am not an engineer or a mold maker, but I won't buy a third one.
