Yes, my procrastination is how this happened anyway. I would have tossed or composted the plant after I cut the fruit but I didn't get around to it before it had sprouted again. I don't really water it, I do sprinkle it with the hose in the spikes, like other bromeliads, and I mainly just ignore it. I moved it recently because I put some shade up and decided it wanted to stay in full sun. Now that the rains have started I'm not even using the hose on it anymore. There were times during the winter when the dirt it is in was completely dried out, but there was water in the spikes. Now, everything is always wet from the rains so we will see, maybe that will trigger it to fruit.
A day without sunshine is like, you know, night.
