"Have no patience for bare ground"
My first round of daylilies as I mentioned before came from G. Wild. They are monster clumps now despite how small they were originally. I got a few from them this spring that is still in water. I hope to get them in the ground today.
Tiptonla, Welcome! !! I plant directly into the ground. Potted plants have to be monitored closely especially if they are in full sun. If you are going to do that keep them close to the spigot. I think it's double work to plant in pots and then in the ground, unless you are preparing a place for them in the garden. This is why I put them in water. Don't drown them!! Just enough to keep their feet wet. I change the water every few day to control mosquitoes and to ward off rotting from old stale water. I think most of Wilds bad reviews came from gardeners that were expecting more.
