How lucky for you to have all those gooseberries, Nancy! I'm glad you can use the recipes. It's been probably more than 50 years since I indulged in the pudding pie, so I don't remember the soggy part, only how good it was to have that one perfect pie once a year. I don't think I could pick fast enough for her to bake more than one a season.

Sadly I don't know much about currants, but maybe somebody will come along who does.
Enjoy all those gooseberries, sounds as if you have a fine crop of them!
