I see no reason not to use it. Acid-loving plants would be where I would sprinkle/pour it, but perhaps you might want to dilute it if pouring it on/near a plant. I use all my coffee grounds around my azaleas, blue berry bush, and gardenia. I also incorporate it in my "custom-made" potting soil.
