Cloudy this morning. The cats are all huddled from the cold. For goodness sake, they are ragdolls with miles of thick hair and they look like they have one foot in grave. 63 degrees.

Says showers again. With all the rain I have lost one clump of Moroccan Summer to crown rot. I might save one fan. It is my first case. The soil is soggy and I have just mulched - so I am running around ensuring the mulch is pulled back from the stems. Quite a few now have died down because they are or, pretending to be, dormants or semi-evergreens. I have noted them this year. Funny how "evergreens" can die down too - like Joan Senior.
The problem is that when you are young your life it is ruined by your parents. When you are older it is ruined by your children.
