If not for my Texas DG buddies I would not have gotten my garden together. In 2008 I had to have a hip replacement. I was never in so much pain and at that time I lived in a town house with lots of stairs. My landlord let me move into one of her duplexes. These guys were awesome! I was in so much pain and had to walk with a cane and taking those pain pills I was out of it. It was too much going on for me. I had a 800 sq ft of all kind of plants, about 100 or so pots. I had a raised bed that went around the perimeter of the court yard. Pat, one DGer came with a horse cart all the way from Houston . They moved every pot and dug up every plant they could find and moved them to the new place. when I left there, it looked as if I was never there. All I could do was cry, I was so humbled. Smockette stayed at my place . My back yard was laden with pots and plants. Again...still on pain pills,, after the surgery they came and helped me put down the irrigation system. I don't remember how I got all those plants in the ground, still in pain I went to the IOWA ROUND UP, the coldest place i ever been to in my life and I lived in Connecticut for ten years. lol I bought so many Hostas there they had to ship them to me. lol
Anyway the Hostas are gone, but my DG friends are still around ... I miss them so much because I cant get around as I use to.... but there is Facebook ... thank God! Hurray!
