Seeing this has renewed my interest in honeysuckle. I have one honeysuckle plant 'Dropmore Scarlet' and now you have me trying to think if a way to incorporate more in my garden. Thanks a lot Smiling

After reading about Dropmore Scarlet and finding that it is not as fragrant as other honeysuckles, now I wish I had a different one. As a matter of fact, I don't know that I have ever smelled a fragrance on it. However, dh and I love the leaves and shape of it draping from our windmill just as much as the blooms.

Strong feelings, yes! The old honeysuckle of yesteryear still conjures up sweet memories of good times growing up on the farm. Sucking the juice out of the honeysuckle was fun and I'll always remember Mom and Dad taking us blackberry picking in places where the honeysuckle grew wild.

May all your weeds be wildflowers. ~Author Unknown
