I agree with you that the color seems outside of what might be expected for red-orange under usual growing conditions (just my gut feeling), and even given any blue-green shift the camera might have given to the photo. Solid-color daylilies are also harder to ID, I think, since there are fewer identifying marks and many other solid-color cultivars out there, so unless someone has special knowledge that would enable them to ID it, it may best grace your garden as a NOID that has a garden name of "pink fancy - noid" ...
