I can say that both wild ditch lily and Kwanso are a nightmare to use for pollen. The first daylily seeds I grew were from wild pollen and I spent the whole summer dabbing wild pollen on an old red-------and got eight seeds from almost daily crosses, later I tried getting pollen from the edges of Kwanso petaloids or whatever you call them but I have lost all the seedlings in the brush here. They were pretty sad looking little wildings anyway. I'm tempting fate by using Ed Murray and some of his seedlings this summer. The ones I raised a couple of years ago cracked their stems before they bloomed. My father said I always have to do evrything the hard way just to be stubborn!!------------------------Weedy
