I hope to get out to the iris bed today and do some triage. We have so much rain this year there are mushrooms growing in parts of the bed. I started to dig out any little spots of rot but that was many rains ago. One thing I have done is dig up a clump as if you were about to divide it, and just let it sit on top of the ground until you are ready to replant. Instant drainage! I have even had extra clumps like this survive the winter. Of course, they were the ones I didn't get to dividing because there were too many of them and I didn't particularly care whether they survived or not...
