I had this plant and it was just beautiful. The first two years were great. By the third year it spread SO MUCH. It took me the last three years trying to get rid of it. Spraying it, digging it out. I thought the unusually cold winter we had here in Wisconsin FINALLY froze it out for me. But...no... I just dug up two little bits of it yesterday. I bet it will take another three years before I can say it's finally gone.
If you have a spot where you don't care how far it spreads, go ahead with it. It is simply beautiful!! But be VERY AWARE of how invasive it is!!!
