Let's see if I can recall, Ken feel free to correct me. Ken got a big plant of Copper Queen from Lindsay last year in May when she was 'downsizing'. He divided it in half some time in there, grew it through the summer, and both divisions bloomed in the fall.

One 'sister' had the normal coppery flowers like mine does now. The other sister had yellow flowers. Ken posted them both, and we were wildly speculating as to how that may have happened. In the process, I said I really liked the yellow one and Ken offered to sell it to me. Since I was thinking of ordering a bunch of plants from him anyway, we went ahead, with a promise from me to follow up when the Copper Queen sister bloomed again. So - here we are!

This morning, backlit by gentle sun through clouds. This one's reminding me a lot of Frances Fox!

The purple Edisto cross got in the way of the camera, too. All three flowers open now.
