Did some dead-heading last night, took some pictures of what I had left.

Koko Loco, Rose Marie Viaud (yes, I know she's a single-time bloomer, but this is a "second" flush?)

Ketchup & Mustard (holds up VERY well in this heat for a day or so..) and HoneySweet (I Lovey dubby Lovey dubby this rose!)

Did some counting, I think I lost about 40 or so roses.. starting to dig up the dead now. I know I lost Silverado (cries), Golden Glow (or something like that), Duftrausch (massive Cliff rose.. the root system was HUGE!!), both Sunny Delites (what is it with the yellows? I don't have hardly ANY yellows left!). However, as I was digging through the mulch to see if the plant was TRULY dead or not, was finding white (sunlight-starved) canes, so uncovered them mostly (not 100% so they hopefully won't get scorched) and let them go. I broke a couple of roses all the way to the graft just by touching them.. it's weird that the canes are *that* fragile! One of them, I don't know who (I was digging around hoping to find the tag but the tag's faded 100%) broke away all the way down, which totally SUCKS. Beautiful rose, I think it's Perfume Delight, but it's much more of a raspberry color than a pink. I know it's not Fragrant Cloud... smells VERY spicy. BTW, what does "damask" supposed to smell like?
Roses are one of my passions! Just opened, my Etsy shop (to fund my rose hobby)! http://www.etsy.com/shop/Tweet...
