really? HAI does fine for me here. I've been told it likes partial shade.

This interests me. I love the bloom (from pictures and it's "local" to me) but I have spots with partial shade where I play. Some hybrids do excel with shade, Lilting Belle and South Seas both bloom prettier and stronger for me with partial shade. I have daylilies I'd prefer to never move but the rest are open to experimentation. It just makes sense to me, when discussing perennials, to find what makes for a happy plant. That's what makes a happy gardener. Thumbs up
