This is a secret, just between you and I. Even though I suggested you repot your fiddle, and it surely will respond positively to larger accommodations, my 25+ year old fiddle leaf has been in the same pot for at least 10 years. I am quite sure she is beyond root-bound, even though the pot is approximately 24" in diameter. I think because she gets watered almost every day, spring through summer and then weekly in the fall/winter, and is trimmed a foot twice a year, she has remained healthy. The worst ills she has ever exhibited has been the occasional sun-burn and frost-burn of her leaves.
