Noticed a couple dead med-sized seedlings yesterday. Didn't look like damp-off, but sprayed them down with chamomile tea anyway. I had already moved them under cover out of the daily rains we are having right now. Still in partial sunlight, just out of the rain. The soil mix drains well enough, but the container is a re-purposed hanging basket and therefore only has four small drain holes. With rains averaging 1½-2" per day, the soil was staying too wet.

Another reason for putting the container into protective custody is that something had gotten in and pulled up a couple of the larger seedlings. I think it was probably a bird as other seedlings (Adenium, Caesalpinia) were being damaged/pulled up in the same time frame.

Time to nick out the largest seedlings into their own containers. I'll post more pics as things develop.
