I discovered Globba quite by accident ... I had rooted around 20 cuttings of Beaumontia grandiflora for a friend with an online plant store in exchange for plants .. I said surprise me. I received my plants in the fall and a few were really unimpressive leaf wise and forgot about them. In Spring when the leaves started showing up in the pot I was still unimpressed ... a few weeks later I was walking in my garden and noticed the unimpressive pot of leaves had bloomed! It was the Globba White Dragon. My jaw just dropped to the ground. Since then I've been collecting the different colors as I find them.
Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.
