Does your friend still have an online store perchance? It is so odd that you mention Beaumontia grandiflora. I had this many, many years ago but when our house was destroyed in the Northridge quake, I did not think of taking any cuttings when we moved. Of course, afterwards when I was trying to locate a new starter plant, none were to be found.
