All good advise. If I might add mine. The soil is the biggest issue I see. They love a very free draining mix. This is how I lost mine. Use a mix for orchids and them even add some gritty like small stone or like. Also using Bayer 3 in 1 for roses will help with all else. Also those stems cut or fell off could be put in the gritty mix should root and grow. This time of year they could take more water but only if their roots are active.
