Linnaea Borealis grows in Switzerland too, but I was named after the Swedish Botanist Carolus Linnaeus (well, actually after a Swedish friend of my Swedish mother who was named after the botanist). It was one of his favorite flowers. It is elk fodder.

Be grateful you were not named Linnea. It is rarely pronounced correctly. Even in the movie, "Linnea in Monet's Garden", it is pronounced wrong.
After most of my teachers said it wrong for whole school years, I became Lyn.
I will have to get some Linnea flowers when my evergreen garden has grown enough for forest plants...gonna put it on my want list.
