Catmint, Golden Jubilee is a maximum magnet for bees and butterflies. Here are some pictures from a couple summers ago - I had a big stand of them. It has since gotten too sunny in that area after a neighbor removed a tree, so I put them elsewhere and they haven't done as well. Anyway, I spent a morning just sitting near these wonderful plants snapping shots. You can obviously see the butterflies more than the bees, but there were probably 10-20 bees at a time on the flowers. You just have to look closer. And the last shot is a butterfly shot, but I couldn't resist including it here. It's probably my all-time favorite photo.

Old gardeners never die. They are just pruned and repotted.
