Vinca is a mess. Finally got rid of mine when they excavated to put in new patio. Have not seen any new sprouts so am guessing they got it all. It has been a year now. I had liberally doused the area with weed killer before they came. I don't want to do that area as I want to plant something else (don't know just what yet)

It is just the first 12 inches from the brick edge that has soil, the rest is rock, all is in deep shade.

I will remove the pots and misc other stuff and cover with the cardboard and some mulch to make it look a bit less unsightly for the HOA of my townhouse complex. Do I need to cut the groundcover back before I do this?
