Meredith, I don't think that this is a good year to assess bloom times. I'm in zone 5b as well and my Stargazers are still a couple weeks away from blooming. All of my lilies were so mixed up this year, I had martagons still blooming mid July at the same time some of my OT's started to bloom! Never had that before. This year my Firebolt Orientals look like they will be the first to bloom where last year they were the last. I agree with Connie that Trumpets and OT's would probably be your best bet in finding something to bridge that gap. In normal years (what's normal these days?) the trumpets and OT's generally overlap the asiatics, LA's and Orientals, at least in my experience they do.
