I may have missed this somewhere in this thread, but do you have a preference for annuals, perennials, shrubs/shrublets, vines, etc.? Are you looking to plant once and have the garden fill in more and more on its own each year or do you prefer to plant new ones every spring or fall (or a combination of these 2 things)? Do you have a particular style that you like or that you want? Are you looking for an easy care garden or do you prefer to work with it frequently? I hope that I have not overwhelmed you with all of the questions
but it may help to steer you towards plants that you like and that would do well in your area.
