You might also think of making folders to put your identified insects in Dave, then you will be able to find them easily.

I make folders for every type of insect I have, once I have edited and named a downloaded file of photos I transfer them to named folders. I place the folders in another folder for each year. It's easy to find something using the start menu if you can remember even part of the name, type it in and up comes a list, then by clicking on 'see more results' you can scroll through all results or open individual thumbs which will show the date taken etc.

I also have several native wildflowers growing in my garden now, left to their own devices they gradually increase. That means not being always neat and tidy, if you cut grass too often you don't get the wildflowers. I have poor sandy soil which was full of moss, it no longer is since I started to leave the grass to grow after the first one or two cuts.

Don't forget, that in order for beneficials to survive you also need the hosts. Hilarious!
