Have been a plant lover all my life
It been a while since I have been on here, I have been working on my beds, and on what I learn about keeping these a live. I have learned that the misting works great, I mist in the morning and then late at night. I found thanks to you all, that it was what I needed. I finely got my beds done. I will tell you, after I first put them in the first time, and then got all that rain for a week, taking all the plants back out, and put back in the green house. I did lose a lot from root riot. I new I would because the ground could not dry.
So I been working on a cover that will keep the rain out and then it also has a shade cover that I put down everyday. On the big bed, I had to make it where I had to leave it, both sides had to put to stay, but for the other two, I can take them off. So what I do on the big bed is the front and back I raise in the morning, that is when the share sheen is on , then if it does rains I will be able to just bring down the plastic in the back and front and they will be safe.
I know that I over did it with the soil, sand, and rocks. But, I wanted to make sure I had good drainage. I have never in my whole life have done all this work for any plant, so this tells me how much I love them, and I want to make them live and bring beauty to my life.
I not done putting plants in the beds. The middle side bed is for my aloe and cactus, still have some coming that has to go into that one. It is nice that I can move the covers on the two smaller ones. We are having rain everyday this week, so I got done just in time. I am proud of myself, the way I cam up with the cover for the beds.
Just wanted to give all you that help me so much, where I am now. Still have a lot to learn. I did put out my young chicks, and I am just misting them, but not sure if they are getting a little hot. I do have the shade cover over all three beds.
Thank you all again for what you do for us who are trying so hard to make it work for these beautiful plants.
Billy Perez Thank You!
