Last year I could not get my DRs to bloom for nothing. The only one that bloomed was a small white one that was sitting on a shelf with another shelf above it. This year, they are blooming their heads off, although I haven't fertilized them as much as I should. The difference is that last year it rained nearly everyday and sometimes several times a day for at least 2 1/2 months during the summer. They were in full sun in well draining soil & getting fertilized regularly, so I thought that they were OK. Apparently, that was too much water for them. This year, they are in a sunny location and some are under the eaves of my house. These I hand water daily. The ones not under the eaves and in full sun, are hand watered when it doesn't rain. Our rainy season hasn't started yet, but when it does, they too will be put under the eaves. I hope this info is helpful to someone.
