Its the light (full sun, overcast, backlighting, etc.) use of flash photography and the characteristics of the camera. Most digital cameras, esp. when a flash is used, have trouble with the "reds". That's why I often include a color description in my postings. I compare it to something else that people would recognize. Usually internet and print catalogs have the best photos in terms of true colors. Hard to believe that it is almost Amaryllis season again. I had a couple rebloom this summer and a few bulblets put up their first bloom. We are having a record wet summer this year putting a bit of stress on the bulbs in the ground.
