I've just transplanted some month old seedlings that were planted from 3 year old seed.. on some varieties, i got over 80% germination.. on some only 40%, but that is similar to the germination percentages i got when the seed was fresh..

my seed is stored at room temperature, in sealed packets, in the dark.
