Don'tcha just love the symmetrical pattern created in the center of the daisy? I didn't know what the center was called, so I was doing some research and found that the daisy is actually TWO flowers! Did not know there was such a thing as a "composite" flower, but the daisy is one of them. The yellow part of a daisy is known as "disc florets" and the white petals are called "ray florets".
