I grew all the ones I listed above from seed, sowing directly into the garden. I thinned the seedlings as they came up, as there were way too many of the ones that did well. I sowed a lot more seeds than what actually grew for me. Several plants sprouted tiny seedlings which then never grew any further. Many others never germinated at all.

Oh, another one that has grown for me is Echinacea purpurea (straight species). Still no blooms though.

The majority of the plants in my garden are not the result of seed-sowing on my part.
