I am the worst guesser here but I like guessing thinking one day I might be right.
The crooked branching tree looks like a Weeping Cherry Tree. I hope it is alive as it is a gorgeous tree.

The second set of pictures, the tree that is around the corner looks like a nice Red Japanese Maple/acer-something.
