I'm in Texas too, and with this heat 100+. I'm watering every three days. Double check to insure the soil is dry first.
Mine were in full sun until the 100+ temps and have moved them to where they get late afternoon shade.
I also mist the leaves of my adenium and plumeria in the late evening.

BTW, I was just down in Houston last week to purchase a few more adenium. There are two nursery's that carry several different varieties. JRN & Nature Growers are on the North West side of Houston on Breen Street. Nature Growers has the larger plants for the same price as JRN. The pic is at Nature Growers. Wished I lived closer to Houston!!
