I'll help my son again this weekend with some splitting, I'm sure, but almost all that we burn at our place is cut up blocking....no splitting needed, and all the cutting to length is done with the chop saw, in the shop, in the shade, with a fan overhead to keep the sawdust out of my face! I'm spoiled
