Are you sure the vine IS a vine? or just growing up on the side of the brick? It kind of looks like Japanese Knotweed, I used to have some of that but mine was variegated.
Here is a link to images, I think it is pretty vigorous. Maybe invasive in some areas. It gets rather larger under ideal conditions. I think it dies back in the winter and regrows each spring.
Is there a chance some of the neighbors close by know anything about the plants there?
