Unfortunately, there are always going to be hiccups on any construction job. You are doing the right thing and checking it to make sure it is being done to your liking. I know it will look wonderful when it is finally all done. Too bad you can't cover the pond with some sheer fabric or fine netting to keep all the debris from getting into it.
