If you really want to try to grow one by seed, JLHudson does carry it. I just checked and it is $2.50 per pack plus their shipping rate. Dutchlady is definitely right, though, as I keep reading that it sends out a huge amount of surface roots and is a shallow-rooted tree - not really pot-friendly IMHO. I also read that due to the surface roots, it is not suitable for planting near foundations or driveways.

It really is a stunning tree, though! It would be fantastic for open spaces. Thumbs up

Dutchlady1, do you know offhand if it is related to albizia? The leaves and umbrella-like form remind me so much of the albizia here as well as its ability to fix nitrogen. What a gorgeous tree - thank you so much for the article!
