Yesterday, August 19 found me wandering away from manicured lawns and weed-free gardens. One of my favorite leisure activities is to drive the back roads and observe animals, insects and plant life. I found myself on an isolated dirt road bordering a soy bean field. This is a part of my free time that I truly enjoy! A patch of blue caught my eye in the side ditch which turned out to be Blue Lobelia. This picture is exactly the way it came from the camera; no cropping nor manipulating except to reduce the size to 1000 pixels. I identified at least seven wild plants (weeds?) in the picture so I decided to keep it just for the record. After all many of us live with these plants (and weeds) on a daily basis. For what it's worth I know this isn't quite kosher for Multi-Plant Images, and will not appeal to most. However, it might possibly be useful in some way.

Here is the picture that I cropped from this one.
