I am glad that you posted and I don't think that it was "unnecessary" at all. It would be great to come up with a way to get more people to contribute useful comments to the database. I also believe that some people are more motivated to do so when acorns are offered. So, a great idea IMHO, dyzzypyxxy Thumbs up

That's a tough one but I like the ideas so far (moderators nudging, possible contest). Maybe even just a notice/reminder somewhere on the right reminding everyone that comments are always welcomed/needed (raising awareness). I don't know how many people actually actively use the d/b compared to the forums? Has the message gotten out that comments are an important part of the database?
