Deborah, someone put a pic of one of those oddities on FB yesterday, and it is INDEED ODD! I don't think it would stay alive here since my plants get rained on more often than a lot would probably prefer. I would worry the holes in the leaves would fill with water too often & rot.
Tarev, TY! That's the kind of thing I'm muddling through. Some plants probably getting too much sun, some too little. Feel free to critique whenever you see pics of mine, much appreciated! Partnerships change often when I see they are not as compatible as I'd hoped. Sunburning about everything this spring didn't help either. Sure enough, what people said would happen did. Now I own the info too, not just something I read.
TY, Beth! That matches other opinions. The consensus of info I've been able to gather is that that particular plant does not bloom. I don't understand that, but sure enough, can't find pics of any with blooms.
I think I have an idea how you feel about your plants that can't live with you right now too. Since we moved this spring, allllllll of the ground plants I extracted are at my Mom's house, and the house plants that I put in the ground for summer vacay are in her yard. Nerve wracking times! She uses roundup, so I've been diligent about pulling weeds anywhere near 'my' plants, and trying to keep more stuff pulled over there in general. Her yard is huge, and I visit often but I'd have to live there to be able to keep everything clean by hand.
Next summer I should have a better setup for these plants outside, the ones that live through this summer of exposure. Getting a lot of exercise moving them into sun/out of rain lately. Drainage/airy soil can only go so far for plants that really reject being wet too often. Wet is wet. I guess it's better to learn at the rate of $1 per plant than the regular price? LOL!
TY so much, folks!
