Susan - Is that wood siding the squirrels chewed on or is that aluminum?

I have a vinyl privacy fence and the squirrels chew up the top of the fencing. They sharpen their teeth on it and chew down the vinyl in the process. I never thought they would do that. Ha! Vinyl of all things!!!!

I actually feed the squirrels that come into my yard because they were doing a lot of damage trying to get to the food in my bird feeders. Since I began feeding them under the bird feeders, they haven't caused any more damage that I am aware of. Sometimes I have a lot of squirrels and sometimes I don't. Red-shouldered hawks moved into my neighbor (probably after discovering the squirrel and dove population here). So I think those predators keep the dove and squirrel population under control. Predators find their food eventually. Mother Nature has a way of balancing things out!
What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters, compared to what lies within us.
